We built Ping to make it easier to coordinate with people you know while minimizing pressure and exposure. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices.

Information We Collect

• Account info: name, phone/email, and authentication details.
• Ping details: title, time, location, and invitees. Invitee lists are not shown to other invitees.
• RSVPs: your “Going” status.
• Contacts (optional): if you import or match contacts to send invites, we process that data to help you invite people.
• Technical data: device, app version, and basic logs for security and reliability.

SMS Verification (OTP)

For phone‑based account verification, we process your phone number, limited delivery/verification metadata (e.g., request time, delivery status), and security signals to protect accounts. We retain OTP logs as needed to operate and protect the service, typically 12–18 months, unless longer is required for legal or security reasons.

How We Use Information

• Provide and improve Ping’s features.
• Send invites and updates you request.
• Secure the service and prevent abuse.
• Comply with legal obligations.

What We Don’t Do

• Sell your personal information.
• Show invite lists to other invitees.
• Build public profiles or social graphs for others to browse.
• Host user‑generated media or profile photos. Contact photos may be used locally on your device for people you already know; we do not host those.

Sharing

• Service providers that help us operate Ping (e.g., hosting, messaging, payments).
• Legal and safety when required by law or to prevent harm.
• Business transfers if we reorganize or are acquired.

Data Retention

We keep information as long as needed to provide the service. You can delete pings you created and request account deletion to remove associated data, subject to legal requirements.

Your Choices

• Access, correct, or delete your information.
• Export your data where supported.
• Opt out of non-essential emails or notifications.

Children

Ping is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child provided us data, contact us to remove it.

Changes

We may update this policy. If changes are material, we’ll notify you in the app or by email.
